Overview of the role 🔍
The Junior Procurement Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting procurement-related data to enhance decision-making and optimize supplier management. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, managing procurement databases, and assisting in the preparation of reports to support procurement and supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities 📋
- Monitor supplier performance through annual assessments and evaluations.
- Assist the Head of Procurement and Procurement & Supply Chain Manager in generating reports for the group.
- Analyze and update supplier price lists as required.
- Create new supplier records in the ERP system, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Verify and create new product codes in alignment with internal processes.
- Effectively manage and maintain the supplier database for accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the Head of Procurement and Procurement & Supply Chain Manager with various procurement and supply chain-related tasks.
Ideal Candidate Profile 🎯
- Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field or Certification in procurement or data analytics (e.g., CIPS, CAPM, or equivalent) is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement, data analysis, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of data visualization and reporting.
- Experience using ERP systems and procurement software.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools.
- Understanding of supplier evaluation and performance management.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large datasets efficiently.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
